During a large conversion project when we were unable to live on site, Grant was the efficient calming presence and made many excellent suggestions to improve on the architect’s design. Grant is almost our resident carpenter. He has always been there to do what needs to be done, whether making a beautiful oak desk and book case; designing and making excellent utility room fittings in a very small area; inserting fiddly oak fillets into the gaps around windows and doors; or doing quite tricky work around our Grade II* listed home. Weeks Construction transformed our staircase from an enclosed plasterboard covered balustrade to a beautiful light oak balustrade, including replacement newel posts much of which they fashioned by hand from the basic oak timbers. Grant made us some built in cupboards and a radiator cover, all built to an exceptional standard and finished beautifully. They still look amazing and exactly what we wanted, Grant was punctual , arrived when he said and worked hard until the job was completed to his standards (which are high ) . Grant designed a superb bespoke green oak porch to tie our recent extension to the existing house. He crafted this himself and then completed the installation on site. We liked it so much we asked Grant back to fit the external doors and create a new window in green oak from the porch into the house to complete the transformation. Grant reconfigured a traditional timber framed cowshed for us, providing an open fronted garage and lock up tool-store with stowage over. A skilled and tidy craftsman; he reused the old external slabbing where possible, respecting the situation and heritage of the building. David, Biddenden

Grant of Week’s Construction has, during the past two years, installed a completely new window in a tile hung façade and replaced two existing windows in our period dwelling in Headcorn. Grant approached the projects with sensitivity in matching as far as possible the existing structure. The works were carried out on the promised start date and within the estimated timescale. The self contained efficiency in carrying out the works was impressive especially with regard to equipment used and ancillary plant. We have been extremely satisfied with Week’s Construction both as regards to the quality of work and the communication with Grant during the projects.
